Мы планируем открыть вам «Заонежье» в октябре 2024 года
Zaonezhie is a pristine region of Karelia nestled along the northern banks of Lake Onega, a colossal lake. The area is characterized by its striking landscape, resembling a tiger’s stripes, created by the many bays and small lakes.
While Zaonezhie is home to the famous Kizhi open air museum, showcasing Russian wooden architecture, the rest of the region remains largely undiscovered by mass tourism. Here, nature prevails, untouched and powerful.
This region features stunning northern vistas with dense forests and pristine lakes, unique shungite geological formations, and a variety of rare plants and animals. For instance, encountering the rare white-tailed eagle is a frequent occurrence.
The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Kazhma, a village that has largely maintained its traditional way of life. The local residents are warm and welcoming, eager to share their stories and insights with guests who approach with respect for their home.
